Do you use SSD disks everywhere?

In order to provide the best efficiency available, all our server are equipped with hardware RAID controllers and we use SSD technology ONLY.

What is my server IP address?

Each servers has one public IPv4 address. You can look it up in your panel. It can be also get from the metadata server, then you execute the following command on the command line of your server:

curl http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/public-ipv4

How many servers can I start on my account?

By default: 10. Should you need more – do not hesitate to contact our support

When is my credit card charged?

We charge your credit card on the first day of the month.

Can I add another IP address?

Unfortunately not at the moment. Each server has one public IP address, which can be checked in the panel.

Who is server administrator?

Administration, software updates, firewalls, backups – they all belong to a Customer. You get a environment with root privileges, so you do all of this by yourself.

Do you have an API?

Not yet, we’re planning to add this feature in the future.

Can I extend the server’s parameters ?

CPU and RAM might be scaled up and down in the panel at every moment. You can get back to previous RAM and CPU limits any moment.

As for the diskspace, we offer permanent change for a bigger packet only.

In both cases server restart is required.

Do you provide firewall?

No. We recommend to the Customers to configure system firewalls on their servers.

What kind od virtualization is used?

We use KVM

Do you have Windows servers?

No, Linux systems only.

What’s the CPU Speed?

We use 6- and 8-core Intel Xeon CPU’s, running at 1.8-3.0 GHz. You can see the speeds and other CPU details on the hypervisor you’re assigned to, by executing the following command:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

How to you charge for transfer?

There is no data transfer limit. We do not charge you for the transfer.

How can I make a swap partition?

There is no such option right now. If you need swap, please simply create a swap file.

How can I access my server?

If you’ve provided SSH key during server creation, log in the public server IP as ‘root’ user. If no SSH Key was provided, you’ll get your root password by e-mail. You’ll be asked to change it after the first login.

Co you modify system images?

No, we use official “cloud” images, provided by publishers of Linux distribution.

Payment Questions

How am I billed?

Each server is billed per started hour. We assume that month is 720 hours long (30 days x 24 hours)

Do I have to pay the cost of the server every time I create a new one?

You pay for every started 1 hour of usage. The smallest server costs $2.5 per month, which gives $0,0034 per hour – this is the minimal cost. So, if you set up a test server, run it for 40 minutes, and then destroy it – you’re charged for one started hour only (at the end of your monthly billing cycle).

Am I charged when I enter a credit card?

We only verify the card. Your card is charged at the end of the billing cycle, accordingly to amount of server working hours.


How much do I pay when the server is powered down?

You pay the same as for active server, because we keep all the hardware resources ready to power it on. If you do not want to pay – simply delete the server. If you think you might want it in the future, the best option would be to make a snapshot and then delete the server. Once it’s needed – you just create another server using the snapshot as an image.

Why do I choose country?

It’s necessary to issue proper invoice with proper tax applied.

Can I change country?

No. If you have a good reason to do that – please contact our support.

Can I change currency?

No. It’s a subject to choose when you activate your account and this cannot be changes in the future. If you have a special reason to do this – please contact our support.

When is my credit card charged?

We charge your credit card on the first day of the month.

How much do I pay for a server, which I start and run for 10 sec. only and then destroy it?

All the fees are based on started hours. When you have a server running for 10 sec., 5 min., 45 min – it’s all one started hour, which we calculate as 1/720 of a month. For example, for 20GB server this would be $0,0034

What form of payments do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express.

Will taxes be included in my monthly invoice?

Customers in the EU: We’re required to charge VAT (value added taxes) on sales to non-business European Union customers, where VAT is applicable. When you enter your valid, registered UE VAT ID, then there is no VAT included.

Customers in Poland: As a company operating in Poland, Cloudentic is required to charge VAT to all customers located in Poland.
